Much of the program is
policy-oriented, beginning with discussion of the farm income safety net and the
next farm bill. The U.S. ethanol market and policy are then discussed,
followed by a discussion of current strengths and status of the crop insurance
program and an update from the regional USDA RMA office.
After
lunch, there will be a grain market analysis and outlook, then a session
discussing precision ag and crop insurance, and the workshop closes with a
discussion of how the end of the SURE program will affect optimal crop insurance
coverage.
If
you are involved in the crop insurance industry, either as an agent, a producer,
or an ag lender, you need to attend this workshop.
