RAM II (Risk Assessed Marketing) Workshops

  • These workshops introduce producers to an integrated marketing/production management approach that combines both crop insurance and alternative marketing techniques.

  • K--State’s annual Agricultural Lenders Conferences are designed to provide the Kansas financial community with updates on current agricultural topics.

2010 Kansas Insurance Workshop
NEXT SESSION: November 11, 2010 at Salina Ramada Inn

  • Crop insurance agents, agricultural lenders, marketing consultants, and other farm/ranch consultants will help their clients make more profitable risk management decisions. Farmers and ranchers will apply the information to their own decisions.

2010 Kansas Income Tax Institute

  • Now in its 62nd year, the Kansas Income Tax Institute provides relevant information in time for the tax season as well as continuing education credit for those in associated professions.

Ag Profitability Conferences

  • Multi-county conferences presenting agricultural economics information to producers. Each conference is sponsored by county extension services. Most conferences take place between December to February.

Women Managing the Farm

  • A comprehensive management program for farm owners, partners, and rookies.

Farm Transitions Conferences:

  • A two-session conference to help farm families prepare for farm transitions and change. Two locations:
    1) Beloit: First session on January 9, 2010; second session on January 16, 2010
    2) Hiawatha: First session on January 16, 2010; second session on January 23, 2010.

  • These workshops introduce producers to an integrated marketing/production management approach that combines both crop insurance and alternative marketing techniques.

AGR-Lite Workshops:

  • Designed to help Kansas and Colorado crop and livestock producers learn about the structure, availability, and appropriate use of Adjusted Gross Revenue-Lite combined with other RMA risk management programs and other price risk management tools.

Iowa Cattle Risk Management Workshops

  • Iowa State University and Kansas State University Research and Extension, in partnership with the Iowa Cattlemens' Association, Iowa Farm Bureau and USDA’s Risk Management Agency offer a series of cattle risk management workshops.

Employee Management for Production Ag Conference  

  • At the Airport Marriott in Kansas City, this annual conference, co-sponsored by the National Pork Board and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, is one of the most highly regarded conferences of its kind in the nation.
